LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER

Emily specializes in working with clients facing intersecting challenges related to trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, neurodiversity, and/or LGBTQIA2S+ identity.

She works with people across the lifespan, including many young adults navigating college, graduate school, or the transition into the workforce.

Approach.

Emily practices an integrative approach to therapy that is rooted in relational psychodynamic tradition and focused on affect regulation and emotional validation.

She believes that behavior is meaningful and works with clients to explore the meaning of their behavior and symptoms.

Emily's work focuses on establishing an empathetic and non-judgemental relationship with clients and she believes that healthy relationships are key to healing.

Through their work together, she supports clients in developing insight into their emotional experiences and practical strategies for addressing and managing their concerns.

Emily takes an anti-racist approach to clinical work and welcomes conversations with clients around how race, culture, identity, power, and oppressive systems impact the therapist/client relationship and the client's experiences in the world.
