Associate therapist

+ private practice apprenticeship

  • Emily Hanneman, LCSW is a private practice therapist who specializes in working with clients facing intersecting challenges related to trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, neurodiversity, and/or LGBTQIA2S+ identity. Established in early 2020, their practice maintains a hybrid model, serving clients virtually and in-person in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago. Emily works with clients utilizing private and public insurances including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, and Medicaid. Her clinical and professional background includes work in community mental health, adolescent residential treatment, and childcare settings.

  • Emily is looking to hire and mentor fully licensed therapists who want to develop their own private practices at their own pace. She is particularly interested in hiring experienced clinicians who may be facing barriers to starting their own businesses. She hopes to help cultivate a community of therapists operating within self-owned and co-owned business models.

Associate therapists will provide psychotherapy services and work to establish and maintain a caseload while employed in a W-2 position through Hanneman & Associates. In addition to clinical consultation and support, Emily will provide business mentoring to associate therapists with the goal of helping them to build their own private practices. When ready, therapists are encouraged to transition their caseloads to their own businesses.

Clinicians with an interest in serving clients experiencing challenges related to trauma, neurodiversity, LGBTQIA2S+ identity and/or other historically marginalized identities are encouraged to apply.
